Cornerstone Credentials

Cornerstone Demolition & Grading has years of experience working with Southern Co/Georgia Power Company Construction Services, Georgia Department of Transportation, and many other contractors. Cornerstone does substation expansions for GPC, which includes demolition of control houses and foundations, then grading for and managing the pouring and finishing of new foundations.

We began for GDOT in 2006 as a subcontractor clearing the commercial buildings for the 14th Street Bridge Project in downtown Atlanta. Cornerstone performed 80% of the demolition on the 14th Street Project. This was the largest urban demolition project ever undertaken by the GDOT Office of Right of Way. Cornerstone is a certified ROW & Subcontractor for GDOT. We also completed 2 major demolition projects working with Dennis Taylor & Co on the AOA of Concourse C&D @ the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and participated in the initial phase of site development for the new Atlanta Falcon’s Stadium in downtown Atlanta.

Keeping Cornerstone Green

Cornerstone Demolition, Grading & Roll-Off Services is very involved in C&D waste recovery and recycling. Landfill space is diminished. There are increasingly stringent rules and regulations on construction and demolition waste. Such factors make waste recovery endeavors more important than ever before.

Salvaging construction and demolition materials can be both an economical and environmentally sound alternative to disposing of them in our landfills. In addition, recycling C&D waste can help developers and contractors meet certain goals associated with Green Building Directives under the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Program.
